A civil engineer by academics, among other things, Martha loves traveling as well as shopping. Having been working at an engineering consultancy firm based in Banda Aceh, Martha then decided to embark to a bold-new-decision, helping the world to fight hunger by joining the UN-World Food Programme (WFP) in Bosasso, Somalia. Yup!, it’s Somalia at the horn of Africa. Martha will be sharing on her days while on assignment from Somalia.

Yuanita SOEDONO

Yuanita’s career path has began in the year of 2000, when she joined UNTAET, the UN Transitional Administration in East Timor, then in 2004, she further supported the UN Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA). A capabilities which then leads her into a more promising opportunities, by end of 2006, Yuanita then joined the peacekeeping mission in Sudan, under UNMIS to present time. Yuanita will be sharing much more on her past to present mission experiences.

Recently joined UNMIL in September 2007. Initially embarked to peacekeeping field since 2003 in Dili, Timor – Leste under the World Food Programme (WFP). Though this would be the first african-based mission, post-conflict assignment is nothing new to her, as progressive expertise in the field of finance. Developing more local contacts, trying new regional cooking recipes,meeting new friends while serving in Liberia – West Africa, Vonny is contributing further to the peace process and the stories continues.
